Founded in 1986, Cool Ridge began with a hippie, a dream, and a Volkswagen Bus. The brainchild of Ross Gillispie started with sales at Grateful Dead shows and along the sides of the West Virginia roadways. After running a few small stores in southern WV the Morgantown location was launched in 1991, with additional locations in Beckley, WV, and Myrtle Beach, SC to follow.

 

Thirty-one years later Ross sold the Morgantown location to Dominick Claudio, a native Morgantown resident.  Dominick is excited to carry on the tradition that is Cool Ridge while rejuvenating and growing the brand. We look forward to taking this trip with all of you because together, We Are Cool Ridge!
